Inspirations, deep thoughts, surprising insights, or random ideas on how social media intersects PR.

This is where we get started

social-media-imageAs a PR professional, it is important that you are aware of the latest trends and ideas that impact our tools and how we practice. You need to be constantly reviewing industry trade publications, reading books, attending professional development events, and just monitoring the world around you.

No one can argue that social media has been a game changer for businesses, organizations, and individuals. How we do business and interact personally is drastically different than it was just 10 years ago.

In the book The Content Code, Mark W. Schaefer provides readers he “six factors that will help you break through the overwhelming wall of information density to win at marketing now … beyond content, beyond social media, beyond web traffic and Search Engine Optimization” (Amazon)

Each of us will learn something different from the chapters. This blog is for us to share what we’ve learned and also discover new viewpoints.

Enjoy!

Thanks, Mark, for your comments. I always find it interesting to see what stands out for different folks. It is like a book club, but online!
